Once upon a time in a land not so far away, a tiny little cherub had a mischievous idea. Rather than his usual chore of shooting arrows at star crossed lovers, he decided to dedicate his work to a different kind of love, so he dipped his tiny arrow in a pot of sparkling sugar and placed his aim at his first mark. Missing his victim’s heart (he never really was a very good shot), he accidentally struck his target in the cheek. And so the sweet tooth was created.

As you may well know, our tiny cherub has been quite the busy-body, building an army of like-minded darlings to aim their sugared arrows at unsuspecting victims, and carry out his plan to create a love for all things sweet and indulgent.

Today, a new trend has emerged, divinely conspired from this little bit of mischief. From coast to coast, and now here in Houston, a personally proportioned confection of pure goodness has emerged from those nostalgic memories of childhood parties, and made it’s way into our hearts (and tummies) once more – the Cupcake.

We at Sugarbaby’s pay homage to the sweet little cherub that started it all with an array of fresh-baked cupcakes – from traditional to couture – and a selection of other bite sized goodies, exquisite chocolates, uncommon candies, delightful teas and coffees, and a few of the non-edible, but just as sweet varieties of delightful gifts.
