Family owned and operated, Sugarbaby's opened its doors in July 2007 as the first Houston bakery to specialize exclusively in cupcakes.  The cupcake trend itself originated in the bakeries of New York and quickly spread to various quick-serve establishments in L.A. and other high profile cities.  As native Houstonians, we wanted to bring this unique concept to Houston in a family oriented, service friendly environment, where customers could not only run in and purchase their favorite treats, but also have a place to dine-in if they choose, enjoy their cupcakes with a cup of coffee or tea, gather with friends, or just browse around a bit.

Just as the cupcake is something old-fashioned that has been given new life, this same idea inspired our concept and design.  From our logo based on vintage greeting cards, to our interiors that combine nostalgic Victorian and French architecture with modern finishes and details, the sights, smells, and tastes of Sugarbaby's will be a pleasant surprise to anyone that walks through our doors - young and old alike.  Bringing new selections each month and a menu that rotates every other day, our bakers work from the heart to keep fresh flavors, designs, and ideas coming from our ovens to you on a regular basis...to keep things interesting and give you good reasons to come back and see us again as often as you like.
