To all our cupcake fans and friends-

Many of you may know that about 6 months ago, due to some pressing family obligations, we decided to start the hunt for another entrepreneurial dreamer such as ourselves to take on the responsibilities of loving and caring for our beloved Sugarbaby’s, it’s staff and customers.  We have walked the steps with several wonderful candidates, but unfortunately thanks to the current lending climate, it is very difficult for many new food related business owners to get the necessary funding needed to acquire and grow a business in this industry, and so we were not able to finalize a purchase with a potential new owner.

Because we had set a timeline for ourselves months ago, and have exceeded it many times over in the negotiation process, we have finally reached the point where we absolutely have to put our family first, and so with a bit of melancholy, we must announce that Sugarbaby’s will be closing – for good.

With almost 6 wonderful years of memories in our hearts, we have been truly blessed to be a part of this community, and it has been our absolute pleasure to serve, chat, laugh, entertain, and share our time and dessert passion with each and every one of you – whether you visited us just once or once a week.  Because we are not ones for long, sad goodbyes, we are announcing that we will be closing the doors and turning off our ovens this Saturday, May 18^th at 5pm.  We hope that you might stop in one last time to see us before then, pick up a sweet or 2, share a memory or a hug, maybe pick up a piece of Houston cupcake nostalgia, and give us one last chance to tell you thank you for your friendship and patronage.  We always knew we had the sweetest customers in town.
